The North Clackamas School District values its volunteers.
From helping out in the classroom, to providing career planning assistance, volunteers are welcome at all of our schools.
School staff shall check the volunteers’ names in the Georgia and federal sex offender registries. School administrators shall have the discretion to pursue any other screening methods including, but not limited to, personal interviews and reference checks.
Level 3 volunteers shall have a background check completed by Background Investigation Bureau (BIB) prior to service. School administrators shall have the discretion to pursue any additional screening methods including, but not limited to, personal interviews and reference checks.
The amended statute, OCGA §19-7-5, requires any employee or volunteer of an organization that "provides care,treatment, education, training,supervision,coaching, counseling,recreational programs, or shelter to children" to report child abuse.
The law also defines a "school" as any public or private school, pre-k through technical or college level.
The White County School System truly recognizes and appreciates the contributions volunteers make in our schools.

Our school volunteers support student success by sharing their skills, idea, and knowledge.Security clearances for volunteers must be renewed every three years.
Level 2 volunteers do not require criminal background checks.Note: School visitors are not considered volunteers.
